The legend of "Radio Cornwall" began in 2002 when THE HOUSE OF USHER secluded itself at a remote farm in Fowey / Cornwall in order to lay the foundation for their 6th album. At that point, the band, brainchild of Gothic novelist Jörg Kleudgen ("Cosmogenesis", WOLFGANG HOHLBEINS SCHATTENCHRONIK Bd.

had already paved its way to great popularity through prolific concert appearances in Italy, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria and Lebanon -- not to mention the most important German Gothic festivals like Wave-Gotik-Treffen, M'era Luna, Herbstnächte and Zillo-Festival. Through it all, the band was hot on the trail of the vision for its music that would ultimately be found in the rough, rustic landscape in the south of England, a place plushly adorned with myths and the specters of ancient ages. "Sometimes time just stands still, a deep look into beautiful eyes ... a touching chord ... causing pleasant feelings and memories, and you know at once what you have been waiting for such a long time," says the GOTHICWORLD MAGAZINE about the first single "Hegemony", published in advance. Regarding the following 7" entit
led "Sanctuary", Ivo Klassmann states: "Jörg Kleudgen and his men put chorals, moving piano, discreet synthesizers and thril ling guitars into a song almost nine minutes long, and not a single second should be missed." "Radio Cornwall" is all this -- and even more: A breathtaking Gothic album showing the characteristics of a band that has evolved over the years and yet one that has held true to its ideals, a band firmly rooted in the Gothic scene like few others since it was established in 1990 but still searching out a truth far beyond its origins. Anticipation is high for the release of "Radio Cornwall" on December 2, 2005. The first and limited edition of 1000 copies arrives in a luxury digipak that will include a bonus CD featuring five songs for which the medieval ensemble VIOLET contributed hurdy-gurdy, bagpipes, percussion, guitars, flutes, entrancing vocals, both bittersweet and sad.
